CRANIOSACRAL

Who am I?

After living and working in Portugal for a number of years in the late seventies and early eighties, I had a serious riding accident. It was this accident that would finally lead me to return to England and start an incredible journey of healing and self discovery.

I started to study about the body, its reactions to trauma and its potential for healing. I graduated as a registered Shiatsu practitioner in 1987 with the British School of Shiatsu and later qualified as a fully accredited practitioner of Craniosacral Therapy at the Craniosacral Therapy Educational Trust (CTET) under the instruction of Michael Kern.  I was then invited to teach for the institute, assisting with students and postgraduate courses, also a supervisor at the teaching clinic.  I am totally committed to supporting you in your quest to find optimum health and vitality, and I am currently based in London with clients in Monaco, New York, Portugal and Switzerland.

What is Craniosacral Therapy?
> It is safe & gentle, with its roots based in Osteopathy
>  It is suitable for all ages
> Works well with other therapies
> Can be combined with conventional treatment

How does it work?
Through a light touch, a skilled practitioner will be able to listen to the subtle patterns of motion within the body. Every condition affecting a person influences this movement. By responding appropriately to these patterns the craniosacral practitioner will be able to encourage the body’s natural vitality and self-healing mechanisms.

What does it Involve?
Craniosacral Therapy (CST) is a profound yet gentle technique engaging the body’s natural healing process. It is usually carried out with the client lying down, fully clothed in a quiet and peaceful environment. You may feel pleasant sensations of warmth, pulsations and deep relaxation.  Sessions last 30 – 60 minutes, and a confidential case history is taken during the first session to discuss the treatment approach.

Who can be treated?
Craniosacral Therapy is totally safe and suitable for people of all ages and most health conditions. As it is non-intrusive, client-led, and will just follow the body’s own unique natural treatment plan that each condition shows as it seeks to regain health.

Conditions that commonly respond well to Craniosacral Therapy include:
Stress & Anxiety, Back & Neck pain, Joint & Bone disorders, Digestive disorders, headaches, Insomnia, Sinusitis, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.

Why Craniosacral Therapy?
So many people spend their entire lives rushing around only existing as ‘Half Healthy’ people, and not functioning with vitality or to their true capacity. I will encourage you to understand your body and its needs so that you are totally in control of your unique healing programme.

How Much Does it Cost?
One session costs £80 and lasts 60mins and £40 for 30 mins including taking down details. Concession daytime spaces are offered for those on low income or unemployed.
